Biographical Information
Jerry Behn was first elected to the Iowa Senate in 1996 after serving as a Boone County Supervisor from 1995-1996.
Growing Iowa’s economy has been an important part of Senator Behn’s work in the Senate and he will continue to focus on initiatives that help create jobs and attract more businesses to the state.
Senator Behn graduated from United Community High School and has been farming for 36 years. He is a member of Farm Bureau, Iowa Soybean Association, and the Iowa Association of Business and Industry.
Behn and his wife, Denise, live on a farm outside of Boone and have two daughters and two sons.
