Tim Kapucian is serving his first term in the Iowa Senate representing District 20. Elected in 2008, he hopes to strengthen Iowa’s economy through job growth legislation as well as work to improve the state’s infrastructure.
Senator Kapucian has been involved in agriculture all his life. He grew up a farm northwest of Keystone and went on to earn a B.S. in animal science at Iowa State University and has farmed for the last 27 years. He is a past president of the Iowa Pork Producers and served three years on the Agriculture Advisory Board to the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago.
Senator Kapucian and his wife, Brenda, own and run a livestock farm just outside Keystone.

Federal election law requires state parties to use best efforts to
report the name, mailing address, occupation, and name of employer of
individuals whose contributions exceed $200 in a calendar year. An
individual may not contribute more than a total of $10,000 per calendar
year to a combination of state, district and local parties. Federal law
prohibits contributions to the state parties from the general treasury
funds of a corporation, labor organizations or national banks (including
corporate or other business entity credit cards), from any person
contributing another’s funds, from a Federal government contractor, or
from a foreign national who lacks permanent resident status.
