Biographical Information
Larry Noble is currently serving his first term in the Iowa Senate. He was elected in November 2006.
He is ranking member of the Senate Transportation Committee and also serves on the Judiciary, Natural Resources and Environment and Justice Appropriations Committees.
Senator Noble grew up in Grandview, Missouri, where he attended high school. He later graduated from Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, Missouri, with a B.S. in criminal justice administration. After serving nearly 30 years in law enforcement, he retired from the Iowa State Patrol in 2001 with the rank of Major. He is a member of the Iowa State Police Association, Ankeny Area Chamber of Commerce, Retired State Peace Officers Association, Iowa State Patrol Supervisions Association and the Ankeny Art Center.
The Senator is a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and he and his wife, Jane, have four grown children.
