SIOUX CITY - Rick Bertrand Sioux City businessman announced his campaign for the Iowa Senate District One to a crowd at Stoney Creek Inn. Bertrand said he looks forward to hitting local doorsteps to show voters his plans are genuine.
MAXWELL - Rob Bacon businessman announced his candidacy for Senate District 5 which includes all of Hamilton and Wright Counties, part of Webster County, not including Ft. Dodge, and part of Story County, not including Ames.
WAVERLY – Bill Dix, of Shell Rock, announced today he will work to be the next State Senator in District 9. The district covers all of Butler County, Bremer County, part of Fayette County, including Oelwein, and part of Black Hawk County.
CLINTON – Andrew Naeve, a sixth generation family farmer from Clinton, filed his nomination papers and statement of candidacy with the Iowa Secretary of State to run for the Iowa Senate. Naeve is running for Senate District 13, which includes all of Jackson County, the northern portion of Clinton County including the City of Clinton and the southeast tip of Dubuque County.
AMES – Tim Gartin, a real estate attorney from Ames, has filed his nomination papers and announced his candidacy to run for the Iowa Senate. Gartin, a Republican, is running for Senate District 23, which includes the cities of Ames and Gilbert in Story County and the communities of Luther, Napier, Madrid and parts of Sheldahl in Boone County.
